Initial Oral Examination
Your initial oral examination includes a review of your medical and dental histories, thorough examination of your gum and bone structure, teeth, bite, Temporomandibular joints, teeth wear and tear, and smile characteristics. Dr. Young will also provide an oral cancer screening including the use of Velscope. Current x-rays of all of your teeth are necessary to provide an examination. With your dental history, x-rays, and complete diagnosis of your current conditions a risk assessment is performed to predict potential quality of life issues related to oral health, and the overall health of your body.  Based on your individual goals options will be provided to reduce your risk.  We're confident you'll find our examination different and very thorough.
