Oral Hygiene
Periodontal disease is related to increased risk of heart disease, diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and preterm /low birth weight. The exact cause is not yet known, but we do know there is a connection. Armed with that knowledge we believe oral hygiene is more important than ever. The plaque that forms in your mouth is actually bacteria. This bacteria may also cause tooth decay and loss of the bone that supports your teeth. The bottom line is that daily flossing is not only important for the health of your teeth and gums, it may prevent heart disease and more. In addition, you should brush your teeth at least twice per day, ideally right before bedtime and in the morning.
