New patients to Forever Young Dentistry often tell us they've "never had an exam like that."  That's because we're different than most other dentist offices. We perform a comprehensive dental examination so that we can understand your dental and medical histories, your current situation, and your goals for the future.    We recommend a separate appointment with Dr. Young to perform a comprehensive exam for all new patients. 

This exam includes:

• A review of your medical history, medications, and allergies
• A review of your dental history
• A full mouth series of x-rays
• Examination of your gum tissue and bone that supports your teeth
• Examination of your teeth for decay and structural weakness
• Examination of your TMJs, chewing, and wear of your teeth
• Examination of your smile characteristics
• Oral Cancer examination

From this examination we collect a considerable amount of information to create a treatment plan that meets your goals and needs.
